Point tangent to spline

This function allows you to create a construction line passing from a point and tangent to a spline.

The selected point can either lie on the spline or be a point outside of the selected spline.

Access

• Type "From point tangent to spline" in the Quick Search field, then press Enter.

Procedure

1. Select a point.
2. Select a spline.

In the case of a spline where the tangency conditions are satisfied by more than one position on the spline, you have to select a position on the spline which is close to the area where you need to get the tangency conditions (See example below).

1. Selected point
2. Selected spline (position close to the tangency conditions area)
3. Generated construction line
