Export Interfaces - SMX - Options

Designer allows you to export files in SMX format.

Note:

• SMX (file format *.smx) is a standardised interface used to exchange production information about sheet metal parts, for example, folding components, from design software to CNC machines.
• The components exported in SMX format can have a wide range of complexity and application and this allows you to use SMX files for the pre-cutting of blanks, for the cutting of holes and contours and for the bending of sheet metal.
• Since the SMX export functions of every software supplier can have different options, files from different vendors can vary.

Note:

Designer directly export the files to the SMX format and no parameters need to be specified.
